Anderline Bredy

Justice Ministries Pastor

Anderline Bredy is originally from Grand Goave, Haiti. She relocated to the United States in 1988 and became a naturalized citizen in 1992. Anderline grew up in a God-fearing household with her older brother, Erwin. Her mother, Marie, understood that only God could help raise her children; thus, she faithfully committed her children to prayer. Anderline's grandfather was a great influence in Anderline’s life as a pastor. He devoted his life to preaching the gospel and serving humanity by building a church and an orphanage for the people of Grande Goave, Haiti.

Anderline has called Connecticut home and grew up in the Seventh-day Adventist church. Anderline was very active in Adventures, Pathfinders, and youth activity. Anderline felt an early call to minister at the age of six years old, but she had numerous questions around her love for science, which denied God. These questions led to a spiritual journey from atheism back to Seventh-day Adventism and the love for Biblical principles.

Anderline completed her Master of Divinity and Masters of Social Work at Andrews University. While completing her degrees, Anderline engaged in God's mission as a graduate assistant for the Center of Youth Evangelism and Journal of Applied Christian Leadership and as a leader/chaplain for Seminary Worship Committee, Seminary Student Forum, and Haitian American Graduate Student Association. In addition, Anderline worked as a social worker with Child Advocate, Child & Family Services of Southwestern Michigan, Inc. and Family First Worker, Lewis Cass Intermediate School District.

Anderline held numerous leadership roles in business and in the church, but her fondest roles are as a mother to her daughter, Danielle, and being the Lord's co-laborer in Christ Jesus. Anderline's favorite verses are 2 Corinthians 5:17, which says “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here” and Psalm 46:10, which says “He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” These verses speak to the transformational life that God provides us as we journey with him. To this end, Anderline has established the following philosophy for ministry and life:

"I believe that God established His church as His community to develop, encourage and strengthen His priesthood of all believers (1 Corinthians 12:12; 1 Peter 2:5). I believe his priesthood are called to love Jesus with all of their hearts, mind and soul (Matthew 22:37)."

“Until you change your thinking, you will always recycle your experiences." (anonymous)
