Richard barely graduated from high school with a 1.8 grade point average. After one particularly bad sight-singing exam in music theory class, his professor sadly looked at him and exclaimed, “Well, you did sing the notes higher when they went up and lower when they went down.” After performing at a friend’s wedding, Richard accidentally drove into the bride and groom in their rented 1955 Rolls Royce limousine while they are departing—all while the whole crowd watched. Despite these setbacks, Richard has been forgiven and is thriving in God’s grace. He holds a doctorate in worship studies and master’s degree in music education. Richard loves doing almost anything with his wife Darlene and daughters Allison and Autumn.
